The Royal Museums in Turin welcome a brand new exhibition on the second floor of the Galleria Sabauda aimed to enhance the beauty of the Gualino Collection and the many 18th century works showcased.

Riccardo Gualino (Biella 1879 – Florence 1964) was one of the most important entrepreneurs, art collectors and patrons of 20th century Italy. Thanks to his cosmopolitanism and connections, he quickly became one of the most influent people in the fields of art and industry. Art was always one of his core passions. Starting from the 1910s and supported by his wife Cesarina Gurgo Salice, he started collecting artworks and his collection is now considered one of the most significant and important italian collections of the century.

The collection features statues, paintings, jewels, furniture, bronzes and ivories, from antiquity to the 19th century, from Europe as well as from Eastern countries. The immersive exhibition is divided into seven rooms on the second floor of the Galleria Sabauda. It’s a unique occasion to admire over 120 artworks, among which Tuscan masterpieces and paintings like the Madonna in Trono by Duccio di Buoninsegna and the Venus by Sandro Botticelli.
